The year 12 students were applauded out of their Broulee school for the last time by parents, siblings, teachers and students.
A total of 224 students from high schools in Batemans Bay, Broulee and Moruya will sit their first HSC exam, English, on Monday, October 13.
A second English paper follows the next day, then Ancient History and Dance subjects.
The exams continue for 18 days, with most students sitting an average of six papers.
Many students have already lodged major works in visual arts, textiles and other hands-on and performance subjects.
