Wednesday was year 12’s last day of classes, traditionally known as a muck-up day, but Bay High students were taking a more productive approach to the day by having a car wash.
Fifty students gave dirty cars a good scrub, with money raised to buy the school a gift and help fund and help fund their formal.
Year 12 advisor Glen Hancock said they worked together well.
“The kids have worked very hard to raise money for their formal and for a gift for the school,” Ms Hancock said.
“They hope to wash about 100 cars before the end of the day.”
Thursday is the school’s formal assembly, a final farewell before a month of study for the first HSC exam on October 13.
