Bad weather in August and September means the long-awaited ward is unlikely to be completed until next month.
Commissioning the wing for staff and patients may not be completed until the end of November.
NSW Health had hoped the building would be completed by the end of August.
“Inclement weather has delayed work on the new Moruya sub-acute ward,” a spokesman said on Thursday.
“Construction is not expected to be completed until mid to late October.
“The required commissioning by the Eurobodalla health service will take at least a further month.”
