On Friday, 39 students from Batemans Bay Public School helped the Centre continue its 10 birthday celebrations, with exciting dance performances taking place in the playground area.
Students from JE performed enthusiastically to ‘I like to Move it’ and ‘Shake a Tail Feather’ under the encouraging eye of teacher Lauren Edwards.
Older students, who had recently performed in an Eisteddfod, entertained shoppers with their well-choreographed dance to the ‘Dynamite’ soundtrack.
Village Centre marketing manager Natalie Greenway said shoppers loved seeing local kids perform, and it was clear that the children loved to showcase their skills in a public performance space.
“It’s important for the Centre to maintain the link with Batemans Bay Public School, given that the centre now stands on the old school site,” she said.
“We’ve also loved seeing shoppers spend time looking at our photo displays, which take you on a journey through the last 10 years and well beyond.”
