Dairy Heritage of the Eurobodalla will open at the Mechanics Institute in Page Street Moruya on Friday, September 5 at 6pm. It will be on show until Wednesday, September 10.
The exhibition will feature photographs by Andrew Metcalfe of historic dairy buildings across the shire.
Also on display will be a short film commissioned by council which captures some oral histories of the people and places in the dairy industry.
Mayor Lindsay Brown said the local dairy industry was once the most significant in Australia and it led the way in innovation and technology.
"Come along to the exhibition and help us celebrate the dairy industry’s heritage, communities and stories from pioneering times," Cr Brown said.
You can find out more about the heritage of our local dairy industry in Eurobodalla Shire Council’s Dairy Industry Scoping Study which is available at www.esc.nsw.gov.au.
