Cr Harding has put forward a notice of motion, which, if approved, would require the council to notify the community through its communication channels, exhibit the application for 28 days, and report on results.
Cr Harding said the HuntFest license, and in particular the display of firearms, was an issue which divided the community, with passionate views for and against.
“It is therefore important that should any further applications to amend the HuntFest license be received, that the community have the opportunity to put forward their views to ensure that council has all the relevant information to make an informed decision,” Cr Harding said in the notice of motion.
It will be considered at council’s Tuesday meeting.
