“It was another great day for tennis last week in beautiful sunshine,” committee member Tricia Wheeler said.
In division one, Bay Rockets defeated Narooma 1 7/45 to 1/16,
Tomakin 1 beat Narooma 2 6/42 to 2/29 and Tomakin 2 defeated Moruya/Tuross 5/36 to 3/26.
In division two, Moruya beat Tomakin 6/49 to 2/38, Bay Breeze defeated Bay Breakers 6/48 to 2/39 and Broulee beat Bay Beatles 7/48 to 1/32.
In division three Moruya narrowly defeated Dalmeny 4/34 to 4/31, Tomakin 3 beat Tuross 6/40 to 2/18 and Bay Dolphins had a bye.
Progressive scores up to August 14:
Division one: Bay Rockets 38, Tomakin 2 31, Tomakin 1 29, Moruya/Tuross 21, Narooma 1 16 and Narooma 2 13.
Division two: Broulee 32, Moruya 30, Bay Beatles 27, Bay Breeze 26, Bay Breakers 20 and Tomakin 15.
Division three: Dalmeny 2 27, Tomakin 3 26, Moruya 24, Tuross 20 and Bay Dolphins 3.
The competition is hosting a Father’s Day raffle this year.
Funds will go towards the end of year presentation and tickets are available from Batemans Bay’s teams.
Wheeler praised sponsors for their “generous” donations for the three prizes.
