Benny is a neutered 10-year-old red Spitz.
“He is a happy little guy who loves human company, a real lap dog,” branch president Megan Garrett said.
“If you would like to meet Benny or to know more about the RSPCA Eurobodalla please call our branch on 0424 228 425.”
The branch held a successful information afternoon on Sunday at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club.
Megan said the idea behind the event was to the let the general public know what the branch did and to gather interest from people for volunteering and foster caring.
“We had some guest speakers from Sydney as well as two of volunteers who gave very inspirational speeches on why they joined the RSPCA Eurobodalla,” Megan said.
“Amber from Ambers Creative Cakes also gave a cupcake decorating demonstration which gave everyone some tips for Cupcake Day.
“A very big thank you to all that came along and supported our day, including our members from the RSPCA Ulladulla Branch, a big thank you to my volunteers, Amber and of course Andrea and the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club for their unwavering support.”
The branch is busy preparing for its annual fundraiser Cupcake Day on Monday, August 18.
Stalls will be run at Bay Central Pharmacy, the community room at Baylink in Batemans Bay and Super IGA in Moruya.
Megan said stalls would run from 9am to 2pm unless sold out prior.
“We would love anyone in the community that is interested in baking and donating cupcakes to any of our stall this would be greatly appreciated,” she said.
“There are also other Cupcake Day events being run around the shire, don’t miss the Cupcake Day event this Saturday at Batehaven Garden Centre, or visit Moruya Veterinary Clinic, Moruya Bookshop or Tuross Head Country Club next Monday to show your support for the RSPCA.”
The branch’s next meeting will be held on Cupcake Day at the Tomakin Sports & Social Club from 6pm. All welcome.
