Eurobodalla Shire Council will receive the funding to carry out works at various locations, including Mossy Point, Long Beach and Mogo.
In Mossy Point more than $10,500 was allocated for rabbit and weed control across the headland and Candlagan Creek.
Council will spend $570 in Long Beach to inspect and control Boneseed, $5152 at Mogo Creek for rabbit control, $2280 for strategic weed control at Lattis Point in Batemans Bay, and $2850 for Bitou Bush, Asparagus Fern and Prickly Pear control on the southern banks of the Tomaga River.
More than $22,000 is to be spent in Narooma to control weeds and pests.
Mr Constance said the funding would result in better outcomes for the community and help to protect high conservation value areas throughout the electorate.
“This funding will allow new work to be done to minimise the risk of spreading high- risk noxious weeds to new areas around the region, which is a win for our local communities and a win for the environment,” Mr Constance said.
“The PRMF is just one example of the NSW Government’s commitment to the cultural, sporting, environmental, economic and recreational life of communities across NSW.”
Minister for Natural Resources, Kevin Hump-
hries encouraged all eligible reserve trust boards responsible for Crown land sites in the region to apply for PRMF funding when the next round opens this month.
