The Tigers tackle the fourth-placed Shellharbour Stingrays at Mackay Park on August 3 and coach Danny Whitter hoped his side can learn from the “touch up” the Stingrays gave the Bay earlier in the season.
“They were really strong in the forwards and seemed to carve us up on the fringes,” Whitter said.
The Tigers have worked on their defensive structures at training and adjusted their game plan to handle the power of the Stingrays.
“We’ve changed the game plan to suit and we’ll hopefully go okay,” he said.
“It’s about getting bodies and numbers to the tackles.”
Whitter said he would like to see his side give the same commitment it did in its last match against Gerringong.
“All we ask is that they play with pride for the full seventy minutes,” he said.
“It’s towards the end of the season and I would love to see the boys finish strong and give them confidence.”
The game kicks off at 2pm.
