The under 14s qualified for Basketball NSW’s State Shield to be played at Sydney in a fortnight.

The boys won their semi-final against Moss Vale but fell by five points to Canberra in the preliminary final.
Coach Geoff Armstrong was pleased with the Breakers’ efforts.
“The team had a majority of bottom age players and some team members were at this level for the very first time,” Armstrong said.
The under 16s girls played in division two and lost to Tumut in the preliminary final.
The girls turned around their performance with a 33-point play off win against Illawarra.

The under 14s boys team competed in division two and went down to Tumut in both games, which were “nail-biters”.
“Coach Angela Rankin was very proud of the team’s efforts,” Armstrong said.
“It was very pleasing for the club that all four teams which entered made it through to the finals.”

“The performed extremely well in the black and whites,” Armstrong said.
“Congratulations to Kelsey Pye who was selected to referee the under 12s boys division one grand final.”
