Outgoing president Rosemary Patyus handed over to Marie a healthy and happy club, which doubled its membership.
“I enjoyed my two years as president and we have seen great growth in member numbers in the last 12 months,” Rosemary said.
“At one point the club had six active members and now has 12 members.”
Marie said she was looking forward to continuing the growth that Rosemary started.
Toastmasters has an educational basis, teaching communications and leadership.
“The club has a friendly and supportive feel to it,” Marie said.
“The motto for Toastmasters, which is an international organisation, is ‘Where Leaders Are Made’. This is reflected in our educational program.”
Batemans Bay Toastmasters meets at the Soldiers’ Club on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6.45pm for 7pm start.
