This year the Dairy shed at Bodalla was the venue and eleven members and friends enjoyed the specially prepared meal and the open fire. 

Instead of treating each other to a Kris Kringle, members brought a bag of groceries to be donated to Anglicare.

President Cindi McQualter said the recent article in the Bay Post about the challenges Anglicare had in meeting the increasing demand for assistance during winter had prompted members of the club to go shopping with others in mind.

“We are always looking for ways to help those in the community who are struggling,” Cindi said.

“We will be back into full fund-raising mode in August, with the Seaside Markets at Malua Bay on the second.”

Cindi said other activities in the pipeline were the finals of the Student of the Year Quest on August 16 and a Hearing Week display.

“Belonging to Quota is a great way to develop friendships while contributing to the community, especially for those new to the area,” she said.
