The match was a curtain-raiser before Super Rugby’s final-round clash between the Western Force and the Brumbies.
Kenny’s side ran away to a 35-3 half-time lead before stemming Australian Police’s comeback in the second half to win 47-20.
Kenny was pleased about his performance and was surprised he played about 60 minutes.
“It was good, I was thinking I would get 20 minutes,” Kenny said.
Kenny came off the bench and played openside breakaway which is his preferred position.
He said the game play was less frantic than the South Coast Rugby Union competition.
“It was more structured, you weren’t running around crazy,” he said.
Some of his team mates included former Canterbury Crusaders star Marika Vunibaka and Fijian under 21s representative Dan Rawaqa.
“You could see on the field some players were more composed and they took their time,” he said.
