South Coast Rugby Union president Peter Ryan said Bay Red performed far better than the final score suggested.
“The Boars scored four converted tries in the final 10 minutes,” Ryan said.
On Saturday, the Broulee Dolphins trekked through the snow to face Bombala.
The Dolphins had too much speed on the fringes and earned an important win away from home.
Dolphins’ coach Murray Hadley said the team had a bonding snow fight on their first bus trip for the year and was pleased to move into third position on the ladder.
“Our defence was outstanding and Chris Edwards, Aaron Stephens and Sam Peters were the top-three players,” Hadley said.
This Saturday the Boars travel to Bombala to face the Bluetongues while the Dolphins play Milton at Frogs Holla on Sunday.
The Dolphins follow an under 18s clash between Broulee’s team and an English school touring side.
Bay Red have a bye.
