THE first Chocolate Foot Singletrack Mind Series race held at Maulbrooks Park on Sunday was hailed as a success by the Eurobodalla Cyclists group, event organisers and competitors.

More than 250 riders registered and racing started at 8am on the 12km track, which winds through the spotted gums, creeks, and shrub of the Mogo State Forest.
Competitors took part in open’s, masters, juniors or mixed team relay events in four-hour or seven-hour races.
Eurobodalla Cycling spokesman Scott Grelck said the riders and organisers enthusiasm made the event “fabulous”.
“It’s been a complete success by all accounts,” Grelck said.
Chocolate Foot’s Fiona Dick said the help of Eurobodalla’s cycling club ensured the event ran perfectly from an organiser’s perspective.
“They’re a small club and it was great they could locate people to help,” Dick said.
“We had great support from the local council and bike businesses.”
Experienced riders who competed on the circuit were impressed with the quality of the track which includes sweeping berms, fast decents and its jewel, the Snaketrack.
“Competitors have said it was a great track to race on,” Dick said.
