On one day, four amounts of $200 had been taken, with international transaction fees.
The perpetrator left the signature/address SKR*SKRILL.com.
I immediately reported this to my bank, which closed the account, advised that it would be treated as “a dispute” and cancelled my credit card.
It is scary that a secure bank website, and my account can be accessed, and money taken, especially as I use complicated passwords and change them regularly.
That SKR.SKRILL.com is apparently a UK address, and can be Googled, makes it even scarier.
Losing the use of my credit card for a week or two is a minor inconvenience, but if the bank refuses to find in my favour, as a pensioner that is money that I don’t have.
Take great care of your financial details, and check your accounts often.
