The commemoration began with a gathering at Birdwood Circle and then the march to Tuross Head Country Club for the ceremony.
The Australian Defence Force Academy's Cameron Lang and Grace Hunter were the guest speakers, and they spoke of the work of the Royal Australian Navy's Bridging Train, unsung heroes who help transport supplies in and out of Gallipoli during the ill-fated campaign.
Mr Lang said they were obvious targets for artillery but persevered with endurance, devotion to duty and a "refusal to be associated with failure."
