The Sharks have played fierce football in the pre-season and are hoping the good early form will continue in the first round of the Group 16 season.
In the pre-season, the Sharks were dominant across three grades against Narooma but Captain Tim Weyman said he would be expecting a spirited Red Devils on the weekend.
“Narooma always come prepared to play and the local derby will be a tough affair,” Weyman said.
“Narooma have recruited well and had six players in the All Stars fixture showing the depth of talent they have.”
Weyman said his side would be wary of an ambush after losing the same fixture in 2012.
“We will need to be at our best to prevent a similar result,” he said.
The Sharks expect to be close to full strength as the Easter break gave players time to recover from niggling injuries.
“There is still a cloud over the Brierley brothers, with Aaron (calf) and Caine (ribs) to face fitness tests prior to the clash,” Shark secretary John Cornall said.
League-tag will be the first game kicking off at noon, followed by the reserves at 1pm prior to first grade game at 2.30pm.
The under 18s have a bye due to the Greater Southern Region Championships.
