Police have charged a man after a search warrant allegedly uncovered a large amount of cannabis.

In early April 2014, officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command began an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs around the village of Kalaru.
About 1.30pm on Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at a premise on Russell’s Lane, Kalaru.
During the search police will allege that they seized a number of items including nine very large cannabis plants, $34,800 cash, and 18.75kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of more than $270,000.
A 51-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station.
He was charged with drug supply, cultivate prohibited plant, goods in custody, possess unregistered firearm and possess ammunition.
The man was refused bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court today.
