Nineteen-year-old Kaileigh was the passenger in a car which crashed at Terrey Hills in Sydney’s north early last Wednesday morning.
Her family has been overwhelmed by the tributes paid to her since her loss.
“She was a wonderful person who was loved by hundreds of people in the short time she was here,” Kaileigh’s mum Michelle said.
“What has got me through the last few days is the messages from the hundreds of people who loved her.
“She was a beautiful person and our family has been changed forever.”
Kaileigh had been living in Sydney
while studying at the International Management College of Sydney (IMCS).
She was only three weeks away from completing a business management degree specialising in event management.
A page of the Manly Daily newspaper featured a tribute to her from her co-workers at the Bluewater and Whitewater restaurants at Manly, where she was a loved friend and skilled employee who had recently been promoted to supervisor.
She grew up in Malua Bay and went to St Bernard’s Primary School and Carroll College.
“She was a dancer all her life and she swam as well,” Mrs Fryer said.
“Kaileigh worked at the Barkala and On The Pier restaurants in Batemans Bay.”
She is survived by mum Michelle, her father David, sisters Stacey, Courtney and Christie and grandmother Joyce.
Her college friends held a memorial service for her at IMCS yesterday, and she will be farewelled at St Bernard’s Church, Batehaven at 11am on Tuesday, April 22.
