I would like to know on what grounds. In real terms it is the community who owns the piano. 

Without the community participation the society would have never had the funds to purchase it. It was bought with the money received by the people attending concerts, from memberships, contributions and concert subscriptions.

Maybe the members of the committee of SCMS may be claiming ownership of it instead of thinking as good caretakers?

Signor G Cacciapaglia is a renowned lyrical tenor who visits Australia every year for his Italian holidays. He has a long list of achievements as a student of the University of Opera and Advanced Voice in Sulmona, as a teacher and as a performer. Beside his references, he was denied the use of the piano by the local music society. I consider it deplorable. 

Also, Signor G Cacciapaglia is Italian, like I am, as a large number of Batemans Bay residents are, and we have had no support for this specific cultural activity from the Society.

I, the founder of this 

society, who aimed at the dissemination of good music in all spheres and nationality, feel insulted. 

I wonder how many members of your committee attended one of the three concerts by Signor G Cacciapaglia?
