Ms Earl has been nominated for the ‘most popular new talent’ Logie for her role as Anna Bligh in Channel Seven series A Place to Call Home.
After being nominated for the category the Australian public were left to make the decision on the final five nominees to make it through in each category.
The finalists were announced on Monday and Ms Earl said she was completely shocked and over the moon to be among them.
“I’m also thrilled that our show is nominated,” Ms Earl told the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner.
Her character Anna Bligh is a daughter of a rich farming family, who rebels and takes control of her life despite her parents’ wishes.
Ms Earl plans to expand her career in film to America this year. She often returns to Broulee, which is where she grew up and where her family still lives.
The TV Week Logie Awards will be held in Melbourne on April 27 where the winners will be announced.
