The Climate Commission was established by the Federal Labor Government as, we were told, an independent body, but not under legislation.

No legislation is specifically applicable to it because its purpose was to propagandise the “clean energy policy”.
Independence demands protection by legislation, eg the Reserve Bank.
Labor MP Dr Mike Kelly’s correspondence states: “The Rudd Government accepts the climate science . . . that carbon pollution is contributing to climate change . . . It is the greatest challenge of our generation . . . Dr Kelly is doing all he can to make Eden-Monaro a leader in adopting alternative forms of energy and reducing reliance on energy sources from fossil fuels.”
After global research costing hundreds of billions of dollars, no empirical evidence exists to prove those claims.
Yet, the Climate Commission endlessly repeats the flawed UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s claims of dangerous global warming caused by man-made carbon dioxide emissions.
Now, the Climate Commission is urging Australia to leave its massive coal reserves in the ground and achieve nearly zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050.
This would mean no use of coal, oil, petrol, diesel and gas, no production of cement or steel and the closing of 92 per cent of Australia’s electricity generators.
China and India and others with huge populations need that fuel for the energy their people desperately need.
Where is the sense in preventing that from occurring?
Above all, what will it do to Australia’s own energy supply, its costs for business and households and our standard of living?
All of us, including Mr Rudd and Dr Kelly, need to study the new easy-to-read brilliant exposition about climate change and sea level rise, Taxing Air - Facts and Fallacies About Climate Change, written by four scientists and engineers, a journalist and an economist.
You have much to explain, Dr Kelly!
