A MAN is to face court charged with aggravated assault over an alleged hammer attack on a staffer at Triple M Adelaide.
The incident at the station's Adelaide office on June 12 this year left a Triple M executive in hospital with a minor head injury.
Police today arrested a 42-year-old Hyde Park man and charged him with aggravated assault and for carrying an offensive weapon.
It is understood an altercation broke out between the men when the accused attended the station's Unley office to register a complaint.
Police will allege he struck the radio station employee in the head with a claw hammer on the stairs outside the building.
The men were not known to each other, prompting police to launch a public appeal for information.
At the time of the incident, the accused was wearing a WWII German-style helmet.
He received bail to appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on September 6.
