The photograph, taken at Moruya North Head and published in the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner, has done the rounds of social media sites and shows Red Hot Chili Pepper lead singer Anthony Kiedis in what seems to be an intimate moment - except for the camera.
Now gossip pundits are claiming it was really Bingle’s way of letting fashion designer Gareth Moody know the end was nigh. It is believed the couple recently split after 14 months together.
To ensure her Twitter followers were up to speed on her relationship status, Bingle posted a cryptic tweet in Italian: “Il senso diuna fine”, which means “the sense of an ending”.
Rumours the pair were on shaky ground began when Bingle appeared to strike up a friendship with Hawthorne AFL pin-up Buddy Franklin in Melbourne in January.
Later it was Kiedis who appeared to have caught Bingle’s interest, with the reality TV identity reportedly following the US singer around Australia during his Big Day Out stint.
Whatever the motive, Bingle’s visit to the Eurobodalla made one Bodalla business very happy. The celebrity pair called in to the Hippie Sticks shop and bought matching tie-dyed hoodies, later sending a photograph to the owners.
Hippie Sticks’ Karen Schofield said Kiedis also bought a pair of men’s tie-dyed Calvin Kleins.
“He thanked us for the experience and commented how much he loved the shop and to keep it up,” she said.
“It was mad to have such a successful international star come into our shop in little Bodalla.”
