The old Slavic sail wooden replica ship, called Russich, has made its way across the world, after it set off from Russia in 2010.
It’s sailed the Caspian Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea and sailed under India and through Indonesia before stopping in Australia – at Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney, and finally, Batemans Bay.
Russich and its crew of seven is being led by two adventurous Russian twin brothers – Sergery and Alex Sinelink, and they are on their way to Tasmania.
The boat is seven-years-old, is built out of Russian pine and made to traditional specifications of the Viking period.
