Your safety is in the hands of our newly elected councillors who have put on temporary hold years of work by a whole host of professionals and state authorities culminating in the decision to install traffic lights at the intersection of North and Perry streets.
The RMS agreed with this plan and provided half of the funds, which must be spent before June 30 or it will be withdrawn.
It is to be hoped that in their deliberations in February councillors will put the safety and well-being of the most needy and deserving in our community ahead of the selfish demands of a small number of commercial operators and drivers.
