More than 50 Moruya High School students sat the science test and had a mixed reaction to what was in the exam paper.
Some students said that the exam questions were what they had expected, while others found them to be a challenge.
“There were a couple of questions that I really struggled with,” Larni Bouten said.
There have also been varied opinions on the exams to date. Ms Bouten added that she knew a lot of people who had been stressed during the exam period, while fellow student Jeff Downey said the outcome of the tests was “in the hands of destiny”.
Some of the more difficult exams have been mathematics, which was taken by over 52,400 students, and mathematics extension.
“The math ones were hard,” Acia Bourne said.
“They were more difficult than what I had expected.”
Students have had different approaches to their method of study this year, with a mix between intensive, last minute and last second revision.
The final HSC exams will be held on November 13. Results will be available online or via text message at 6am on December 16 and will be mailed to students’ homes by December 18.
