Shower singers to stage performers are being called upon to participate in a unique unification of coastal voices at the Moruya River of Arts Festival in May.

The singers, from Braidwood to Bega, will come together at workshops in February and May.
They will become members of the Deep River Choir for one performance on May 16 at the Moruya RSL.
Choir committee members Amanda Grahame, Helen Saunders and Jenny Bourne believe bringing together choir groups along the coast will provide a great networking and socialising opportunity for people who love to sing.
“The aim is to get 100 people from Braidwood to Bega,” Ms Grahame said. “Another aim is to hook individuals up with local groups.”
“We are particularly aiming to get men,” Ms Saunders said.
The free workshops will be held at the Moruya RSL on February 28, May 2 and 16.
Choral workshop facilitators Damon Davies and Dan Scollay have vast experience in leading choir groups and are both South Coast residents.
Ms Grahame said people would be able to practise remotely as a few workshops would be held and then participants would be able to take home a CD to help them.
The project has received funding from the Federal Government’s Regional Arts Fund.
Singers of all ages are encouraged to join the choir, which will come together annually.
