TUROSS Netball Club are hoping to reap the benefits of one of the most successful seasons in their history when five of their teams compete in tomorrow’s Eurobodalla Netball grand finals at Captain Oldrey Park.
The Tuross Tiger Lillies will kick-start the club’s campaign when they meet the Offshore Pippies in the 10 years grand final at 10.30am, while at the same time the Tuross Twisties will play Wicked Waves in the 11 years grand final and Tuross Terriers will take on the Broulee Bolts in the 12 years decider.
The Tuross Turbos meet the Fierce Waves in the intermediate 1 grand final, and in the big one, the senior A grand final, the Tuross Titans meet the Narooma Glaciers.
“We have a really good group of talented players including rep players who are giving a lot back to the club,” Tuross publicity officer Kerrie Sands said.
Jenna Clements, who has played representative netball for Eurobodalla and SERAS, now coaches the Tuross Terriers, and former players and coaches such as Leanne Bell and Luise Clements help with the running of the club.
“We have a supportive group of families and a hard-working committee,” Sands said.
The Peppers club has three teams competing on grand final day, Waves two and St Peters and Offshore one each.
