The two pony clubs joined forces to hold a grading day at the Moruya club’s grounds to determine the riders’ categories for forthcoming pony club gymkhanas and events.
Riders were assessed on their control, speed, precision and agility in the sporting events, flags, bending and barrel racing as well as jumping at the annual event.
Zone 14 president and judge Marie Smith assessed many of the riders.
Young equestrian Carla Dale on her pony Danny was graded E1 in the led class.
Emma-Kate Waterworth from Batemans Bay Pony Club was happy with her results on Narmie.
She went up two grades in the riding and sporting events and one in the jumping class.
Emma-Kate and many of the junior equestrians are looking forward to the Bega Camp in April.
At the social riding event, from April 14 to 17, riders from Zone 14 pony clubs from Milton to Eden and Bombala will take part in tuition clinics and a sporting competition.
