“We want to build a holding pen at our grounds so we can keep the horses here during the day in safety,” club president Mark Waterworth said.
“We also want to update our sporting equipment, because most of it is 20 years old.”
This includes the jumps and poles, which are much heavier and therefore not as safe as those currently available.
“We need to update and revamp our equipment to comply with occupational health and safety requirements,” Waterworth said.
“Our goal is to enable us to invite clubs from the rest of our zone to come to us for gymkhanas and sporting days.”
Waterworth is aware that better facilities and more events will
be more attractive to prospective members.
“We want to attract new members,” he said.
“We want to grow.”
