The duo played against teams from New Zealand, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania and emerged triumphant.
Harding, 15, went through the tournament undefeated with his NSW Country under 16 Kookaburras team, as did Armstrong, 14, with her NSW Country under 16 Waratahs.
Armstrong’s Waratahs beat Victoria, traditionally one of the strongest teams in the tournament, by a whopping 17 points in the grand final, while Harding’s Kookaburras won their grand final by five points in the last minute.
Harding is in Terrigal this weekend for the final round of the under 18 State Basketball selection trials, where he will play for a spot at the National Basketball Championships, also to be held in Terrigal, in April.
Armstrong will compete at the first round of the under 16 State Selection Trials at Gosford at the end of February, for a chance to make the National Championships in Logan, Queensland in July.
Over this weekend Armstrong will take part in the NSW Basketball contingent at a National Intensive Training Program camp in Wollongong.
