Police and emergency services responded to two accidents in two days on the stretch of Princes Highway between Narooma and Bodalla.
The first accident at about 10am on Thursday occurred when a 90-year-old Moruya man allegedly attempted to do a U-turn in the vicinity of Stony Creek.
Sergeant Steve Mawson, of Narooma Police, said the man hesitated while attempting to make the turn and another southbound vehicle approaching from behind could not avoid his small silver Daewoo sedan.
The Moruya man, driving a Ford table-top
utility, took evasive action but struck the rear of the sedan, which tore off one of its wheels.
The elderly man and his female passenger were taken to Moruya Hospital for observation with minor injuries. The occupants of the Ford Utility were uninjured.
Police investigations into the accident are continuing.
Then at 7am on Friday, there was another accident, this time just south of Bodalla where a northbound grey Nissan four-wheel-drive rolled in rainy and slippery conditions on the first bend leading out of town.
Two women, aged 50 and 60 from Bega, were kept in the vehicle while being assessed by ambulance paramedics, before being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
