The Rosedale Association continues to be a lively body, despite the fact it has no head.

Nearly 80 people attended the group’s annual meeting, held on the Rosedale cabins’ lawn, but none was prepared to nominate for president.
The secretary, Sue Falk, and treasurer Noel Egan were elected unopposed, backed by a committee comprising David Boardman, Darren Gribble, Rohan Kent, David Mackenzie, Margot Marshall, Barry Shorter, Michael Skipper and Emmett O’Loughin.
While the attendance at the meeting was good, treasurer Noel Egan said membership was falling with income from subscriptions barely covering costs.
It was important for membership to be maximised, he said, so that the views of all owners and residents could be represented to the council, and treated with due weight.
There was some discussion at the meeting of the condition of Saltwater Creek.
Mr O’Loughlin said the creek was highly degraded before development, due to cattle having access to it over the past century. He agreed that grazing shouldn’t be stopped altogether; only that livestock access to the creek should be prevented.
Mr O’Loughlin added that another form of pollution resulted from septic tanks designed for two or three people overflowed when used by large parties.
It was decided to ask Eurobodalla Shire Council to work towards having the creek fenced off from livestock, and impose conditions on development to minimise impacts on water quality.
Particular mention was made of the Marsim development (currently up for sale), the Bruce Edwards development on the eastern side of the ridge, the nine-lot Bruce Edwards development on the corner of Yowani Road and George Bass Drive and a 140-unit retirement village.
