Lucky escape for teen

06 Nov, 2009 10:04 AM
A local teen had a lucky escape when her car veered off George Bass Drive in wet conditions on Wednesday morning.

The girl’s mother, who attended the scene, said her daughter was returning from dropping her to work when the incident occurred.

“She’s pretty shaken up, and has to sit her last HSC exam this afternoon,” she said. “We’re just so pleased she wasn’t injured.”

Batemans Bay Fire Brigade and ambulance officers attended the scene, however it was a local towing company who removed the car, which was wedged between two trees on the embankment.
