Proposed public housing unit complexes at sites in Bent and Guy St will provide affordable housing for people in need, according to a Housing NSW spokeswoman.
The department proposes to build two unit complexes, one in Bent St and one in Guy St, totalling 28 units.
Residents in those streets raised concerns last week their neighbourhoods could turn into Batemans Bay’s new ghetto.
They are concerned about limited car parking proposed for the sites, rubbish collection issues and socio-economic concerns.
